Lipo Charging

Does anyone remember what amps I should set my Ice Charger for an Orian 4800 mAh lipo? Also how long should I charge it? Been like 4 years since I used this stuff. New Track in Ft. Myers Florida has me getting my RDX ready to race again.

I have an Orion 4800 for 5 years now and always charge it at 4.8amp and its still going strong. Around 5 amps is ok.

If you dont know the max charge rate on a battery or if it's an old battery rule of thumb is 1c charge rate. for ex.
3000Mah = 3Amps
3300Mah = 3.3Amps
4500Mah = 4.5Amps
5000Mah = 5Amps
5400Mah = 5.4Amps

And its always alright to charge under 1c.

true, 1c is the best rate to charge, if you charge above 1c, it will seriously reduce the battery recharge life, or damage it permanently, and you have to throw it out.
