Default IDP-X1(B) Synthesized radio gear

Hey folks, a mate of mine has recently bought a transmitter/receiver set(as above). Being the curious type, he's been trying to find more information on the net about this brand(New to NZ) but has come up empty handed.

If anyone has any leads or information that could be useful, please let me know. AFAIK, the units originate from South Korea so if anyone from that neck of the woods could help, it would be fantastic.
