Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. Why would I post a question like this, right? I know as most of us are aware, Muchmore products quality speaks for itself. However, every racer does not necessicarily have the budget to afford Muchmore products in all situations. So, I am wondering if any of you guys may have any siggestions on alternatives for the Muchmore Power Truer Rubber Tire Sander #MMRC2280.

Our race meet today got rained out, so I was bored and did this:


I mounted the wheels on the front of my car and trimmed the throttle to around 50% and ran some sand paper over it and that was the end result Motor raised in temp by a tiny touch. This was with a 4.5t btw.

I never ran much rubber tire back in the day, but for the short time I did, Id rig up an old drive shaft in a dremel/drill and use sand paper.

Buy an old tire truer off the for sale forum. People sell them dirt cheap.

Cheap and easy way is to rig up an old brushed motor to some AA batteries, slap it in a vice, and attach a Touring hex tire truer adapter to it.

Honestly Jeff, the spec tires we run only need half a pack to break in, I only grind down the rib if I am starting a new set and there is no time to run them in. I can always find one around to borrow.

I just picked up a yokomo tire sander and it works great

mount the tires to your spool fitted car and set trim to 50%. sand. done.
