I'm using a thermal, switch for my fan....motor gets over 125, BAM, fan turns on. What's nice is that this is wired into the speedo's positive and negative battery leads. What's nice about that too is that even with the car turned off the fan will continue to run while the car is in Post-race tech to help cool it off faster and when it gets below 125 it shuts itself off.

Where would one get a thermal switch?

They're still in the prototype stage from MPH Products. Where I put it depends on the car. I have placed it on the chassis next to the motor, between the heat sinks on a clip on heat sink, on the motor itself. Works about the same in each location.

Just talked to Marty @ MPH...said they should be available within 4-6 weeks. On the motor can itself is the best BTW Tres.

No, he's actually found one he likes and works, he just needs to decide if he is going to sell the switches seperately or bundled with a fan as well.
