hey guys or whoever replies, i am just new to the hobby, i have an rs4 evo 3 rtr gas powered but i want to get into electric drifting...i dunno what to get.. im looking at the yokomo D1 drift special AE86 and i dunno what to buy for starting engine and battery pack and stuff?? if anyone wants to help thx for replying

the yokomo D1 is a great drifter. most drivers use the stock motor. plenty of power for drifting

hey about the yokomo D1 can you drift on carpets too??? cus i dunno anything about them... i just splurge with all my money which is sh*t lol oh well

yah, depends on the tires. pvc pipes works great

Look at the APS charger/dyno.

same price range but you get backlight and dyno.

In all the magazines review on this car all they said it just just a normal r/c car with vinyl type tyres. The tyres is all that did it.

Inferno is correct. The last drift contest they had at my home track, guys were just wraping their rear tires with electrical tape and drifting it up. Worked well and when the contest was over they just removed the tape and ran as normal.

go to http://www.rcdrift.com/ as u can prolly tell, its a rc drift site. im sure a couple people from here also frequent there too. but as its a drift dedicated site, you will get better or more opinions and facts there. personally i drift a hpi rally and a xray t1r. both on pvc pipes. both handle great. rally for bumpy streets, xray for tracks.
