It'a a rubber coupleing tube, the kind that comes with Tamiya 540 motors... LHS should carry this tubing...

just go to your local auto store and buy a short piece of vaccum tubing (1/8th)

The manual says it can be replaced by fuel tubing

it allows one motor to turn the other....(break-in)
