Size of the local track

Just asking to see whats the size of your local track. We are looking to add a indoor carpet track next to our offroad track and we are just trying to find out whats the avg size of different indoor carpet tracks. Thanks for any input.

Seriously? The Hangar 30 in Seattle is 100 x 48. I can hook you up with the right people.... Do it!

Timezone 2 is 60' x 100'. If you have the room go 48' x 100' or bigger.

Ours is 10m x 15m. I think it uses 5 lanes of carpet.

Not big and not too small imo...

90' x 44'. If you can swing at least 48' wide, do it. Using 8' lane widths, the extra width gives you a lot more options than longer length would.

our track 24x16m

ours is tiny, but we usually have small tight tracks, what can be very interesting racing. Its quite cool seeing a Mi4LP and a ta05 battling for the lead

What's the best type of carpet to lay down for indoor?

gonzo416 01-12-2012 05:16 AM

My local hobbyshop has had two tracks: approximately 66 x 48 and 90 x 42. There's nothing like the bigger track, but what you need to look at is the environment the track is going to be in. What ever size track you build just make sure you can keep traction in it. That will attract all levels of racers. And racers are what you want. The ideal track would be 100 x 50 with traction so your layouts are limitless. I am happy just being able to race, so I have no choice. I am greatful. Good luck

Crc makes good carpet but it's pricey.

speedybill 01-12-2012 12:15 PM
