its not that difficult to go 100mph, just gotta get the aerodynamics right, and have enough power

what are you using ? Gas powered ? or Electric ?
i have a car that will do 100mph easy, and all the grip in the world .
its 8th scale, and runs on 6S to get that speed. if i run 4S its slower, but i got clocked at 129 kms/hr at half track of our local track. i had to back off to make the sweeper. so your looking at about 30mts to reach 130 k/hr. a canam body , the faster you go , the more downforce.

Subscribed.

Now the initial shape is bad as it generates lift at the back. keep it straight or with a upward slope after the rear wheel "bubble"

And low weight is not recommended for speed runs. At least they don`t worry about it on the full size cars that runs on bonneville. weight makes it more stable.

Going for a steel frame? tub?

130km/h isnt 160km/h. Its always easy in theory , post up a video with GPS or radar gun showing the speed.

Good luck with the build, keep us updated on the progress.
Just ignore the "its easy" dreamers. Leigh

dont flame me. 130 was a fraction of the pace the car had. its on a track not a long road. the car would easily do 140 on the straight but i could not turn the next corner.

with the gearing im using now, it would easily do 160. so dont flame me. there are many other videaos on you tube of the same sort of set up doing 165 - 175 . im saying the reality of 100mph isnt out of reach. so relax take a chill pill.
