What is better a shaft drive or a belt drive for drifting

Shaft drive, less likely to get ruined with stones. But is noisier, subject to torque steer.

Belt drive, smoother throttle, easier CS path, quieter. Subject to belt damage when running on unprepped surface.

You want a Yokomo BRD, Tamiya VDF, TEH-R31... aka a front motor belt drive. If you just want to run 50:50 and then get bored, by all means, get a TT-01.
