I'm thinking of Xray for my VTA car and would like to know the difference between Xray T2 008 vs 009.

So far I've found 008 for around $100 and 009 for $175, which is a better chassis, parts availability etc?

The 009 is a more lipo friendly car. Be prepared to put quite a bit of weight on the car to make weight for VTA. Xray is expensive to get in to, but they are very nice cars and their quality is 2nd to none.

I've had both, the 009 came with a lipo holder setup and top deck shims. But, the 008 was a better car for me, and can be adapted for lipo the same as the 009. If I remember correctly that is...3 years is an eternity in Xray time!

Well as it was mentioned difference was - different colour and washers to be able to put lipo in. Bad thing was that these washers screwed up handling considerably and most of us over here made own shims to do same thing but without ill handling

My advice is to get 008 and make your own shims - much better and cheaper option

Lochness, what did you use to make your own shims? I have a T2R Pro with a T2 '009 Forward Motor Position Rubber Conversion set so the standard rear shims will not fit and I need to make my own.
