Sorry but that was not the case last year or at Track Side for the VTA Nationals.

given the size of the track...I have think ppl are going to push the hell out of the 25.5's....and for 20 min?....Im guessing some will not finish

I think the program will work better with 8-12 min mains...and dont forget about the August heat

20 minutes with super low gear ratios, needed at LHR, will cook the motors!!!

It has been made clear that 20 min main is out of the question. We are just having fun here with the concept of a 20 min main. Strategy is part of racing, even if that strategy is strap it in and hope. Think about how many have a strategy of the first person the to first corner wins the race...

Not pro/con either way for any of the VTA formats chatted about, I ran a 3.45 ish last year at leisure for the AA Finals and came off at 145.

I would think though, based on the size of the track, a 15-20 A main at 10 minutes with an 8 car invert, and let's really put on a show

If i Were coming in from out of town i would look into Harrahs casino. During a two day event I stayed there get back from racing hung around bar, good meal, then bed. the breakfast was excellent and free. Harrah is 15 minutes away at the very most. Everything in one building you would not have to drive anywhere

For the guys that are interested, we got a peak at some 17.5 12th scalers out at the LH track today. Top speed was about the same as a VTA car that was properly geared for this track, but they were much quicker in and out of the turns. I forgot to take a peak at the laptimes but I'm sure someone that raced that class could chime in here with an update.

17.5 ran 20 or 21 laps (I think 1 made 21 laps or was on a 21 lap pace, and 3 or 4 made 20 laps). Not a strong compare, as the tack layout will change...

What tires are you guys using for 1/12 scale and what is the stock gearing? Thank you!
