Why are you posting the same question on a bunch of TC threads? This car is new...

I used Mugen o-rings in mine when the originals leaked like crazy, weeped just a little then stopped, been good ever since.

When I did my front diff up, I sprayed the stock o-rings with wd40, they swell just a little, although it's hard to say with the front cause 200k oil was never going to leak much.

1) because I can.
2) I have no clue that this is a new model.
3) I really don't want to spend $500 on a car that could be replaced In a month or two.

The EX is the newest model. Came out this year. TOP unlike other car companies do not come out with a new car every year. The last model (which is still awesome) was out for a long time before getting replaced by the EX.

Cost is NOT $500. About half of that. Great car for a great price! Great support.

Do yourself a favor-- go to Your local track and ask for help. The internet is full of lies...

Hehe- crazy, right. I remember when in 2008 I used to own the fastest 1/12th scale car on the internet, but it was a the biggest, push box on the track... and had zero driver support locally and at big events. Dont make my mistake.

My real statement is -- go to your local track. Ask around. See who is helpful. See who is fast and with what equipment. And finally verify this data online.

Almost everyone at my local track is Xray, including myself. that's why I'm posting on all the threads asking about new releases. not trying to piss on anyone's parade, it's just an honest question. Xray releases a new chassis every year and thinking about changing brands and trying something different for a change. T.O.P. parts are readily available on the net. however Serpent is not. so thanks for everyone's input.

Xray is everywhere, it's the car to buy when you can't think of what else to buy.

If you want to talk lonely, with possibly buying the wrong car based on what others are running, I think I'm possibly the only TOP driver in my state, and regardless of how much people seem to like my car, it's failed to get any other sales here.

But I'm still a fan of the car, and think I'll have a stab at running in the state champs for the first time, in a month, though I need to buy a 17.5, and figure out what I need to make that go hard enough not to embarrass myself...

Trying something to take care of the leaking diff issue. Mine have been seeping but never really leaked seriously. Usually after a build, I would see fluid around the screws or outdrives after a couple hours. This time I rebuilt the same way as usual but then put the diff in my shock pump with three screws loose and the fourth one left out. Pulled the air out and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Finished the build and let it sit. It's been 4 days now and not a hint of fluid coming from the diff. Haven't had a chance to run it yet, but so far, so good.
