Yo Tony - let me know if you have any issues w/ the wiki. haven't seen your update yet.

After a week off of racing i'm excited to get back to the track. I cannot wait to see how my Reedy Race setup works at home with Solaris Tires.

Same Here Mike: if the weather hold were heading up to Olympia for the NW Asphalt Challenge and we'll see how the Reedy Setup works there.

Did have an 8th scale nitro last weekend so did get a bit of stick time

http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/top/...602/index.html

Here's a link to my current setup. I'm using the 1.0mm 3 hole machined pistons and the stock spool with SPR Mira outdrives. Front toe shims should be .25mm instead of .75 listed on sheet.

Mike. I think I uploaded the file to the wiki.

Tony - you uploaded the file -- I've now added it to the wiki page:
http://racerlog.com/wiki/T.O.P._Photon_EX#Setups

Two bits of info missing:
- arm mounts
- shock tower locations..

Hi guys,

Im new here. Just got my EX up and running last week with a 10.5. Honestly this is my first ever touring car. I own a TOP Mini and concentrate mostly on 1/8th buggy. Now its time for a new class to run.

So far i managed to get my steering to be linear and consistent. However im suffering from a loose end, and i cant drive to save my own life with a loose end car.

detail of "loose end" :
coming into a corner with speed, car holds well and then snaps. I have to enter a corner slower compared to other cars just to be able to drive. I cant push it hard into and around corners.

Ive went through this thread to overcome my prob, for confirmation to my understanding, fyi, i dont know how to read the set-up sheet

1. increasing the rear width (offset clamps? Shims?)
2. rear shock mounted on upper hole
3. harder rear springs
4. lighter diff oils or heavier?

My diff 2k, ambient temp 30 C.
Rear shocks 450w, 1.2mm 3-hole, stock spring.
Rest of the rear setup is stock from the manual.

I greatly appreciate it if you guys could help me. Early thanks.

p/s; @Hanulec. Where do you insert the shims to remove the steering rack slop? thanks

I had the same issue, when I get home from work I will send you my set up. Our track is medium bite and a little bumpy, I was able to yet the rear pretty planted and was able to turn some laps in 17.5 that nobody else has achieved.

Check out our posted Reedy Race setup. We had the same sudden loss if traction issues at norcal.

My steering rack wiggles aren't resolved yet. Others have better solutions. I haven't revisited it yet.
