T3 2012 comes with their extra stiff servo saver. Not "built in" like those steering post kind, but it is included in the kit. Best servo saver I've used so far. I think you need something super stiff like these for east/west servo configurations.

Servo savers are a mixed bag from what I have seen, TC6/6.1 comes with a nitro style saver, everything else I think does without.

Problem with them, is many turn your steering to mush, but that is subjective, I know some won't run with anything but solid, some glue up even the tightest designs.

Me, I was using the Top/Kim job, but actually hated how it felt once I got faster, then removed it, loved that, but then jumped some teeth in the servo.
As of my EX I got a Tamiya high torque saver, which I think is very simular to the Xray one, and so far I like it.

Do you guys find that using the servo saver, one similar to X-ray, does not give enough steering throw to allow nuckles go from lock to lock? Mine is a little shy from going lock to lock with the X-ray servo saver, but when I tried the servo horn that comes with the kit, the nuckles can go lock to lock.

Using a servo saver (xray, chunky one) I had to turn the steering up to around 150%. With the kit horn (that sounds wrong ) down to about 120% I think. Its all about the distance from the ball to the center of the servo spline. Longer=more steering throw for same degrees of servo rotation. Most servo savers simply are not large enough...

On that note, when using the V2 steering blocks and the 3rd hole, do you have to use the outer/long hole on the servo horn? And how will the 3rd hole change the handling of the car?

I did have to use the outer hole on the servo saver. And by mounting steering linkage on 3rd hold of v2 nuckles, it changes steering ackerman.
correct me if I'm wrong someone, but By mounting on third hole vs 1st or 2nd you would get more ackerman. Therefore, you get more steering (more reactive) because the angle of the outside wheel is more?. Similarly to adding more shims in the middle of the two bell crank. More shims=more ackerman.?

Another great day with the new car. Made a few small adjustments and knocked off another 2 tenths from the hot lap. The car continues to impress with how easy it is to drive.

I know that they have been quite busy preparing for and participating in the Reedy race for the last few weeks. I'm sure they are trying to catch up with all the emails that have backed up over this time. You can always give them a call. (650) 583-8898

Yes I am. I liked them on the original car, so I built the EX with them from the start. 50mm ECS with SPR Mira outdrives.
