i think there are three major different types of front end drive trains -- and all of them feel different to me:

1- spool w/ standard cvd -- good in mod
2- spool w/ lcd/ecs/c.v./double join shafts -- i like them in stock
3- gear diff with putty w/ standard cvd -- no need for fancy drive shafts, but never felt as fast as #2 in stock

i know EJ has had great success w/ option #1 in modified. i believe the chatter causes more steering when at modified speeds.

honestly, it doesn't matter what i 'think' is best. all that matters is what the stop watch/lap times say. they (usually) don't lie.

I don't think their is a 'right' front end combo, I'm fairly alone in liking a lot of front diff action, many loose speed with it, I somehow seem to make speed with it, have done my best ever lap times, and most amount of overall laps with the front diff in.

Anyone think it's weird TOP still don't have the EX on their website?, no sign of updated into on RedRC either, although maybe it's something to do with some final kit spec stuff, I noticed some of the EX pics show a chassis full of holes, but EJ's chassis seemed to lack them?.

So, I have seen some pictures of this car - prototype pics. I have also seen production pictures which have cars with different features.

So, when is this going to be available to the public and where can I see some REAL production pics.

From what I know Larry's car is "real". It has top logo belts and all anodized parts. EJs car is real but with a few less anodized parts.

Is your question about what comes exactly in the kit? (I don't know). I'm awaiting mine too .

The EX will be very capable right out of the box with no need for optional parts. I like the Mira outdrives (very high quality) and ECS driveshafts on my car. I also like to run dual gear diffs in certain situations. To each his own and like Mike said, whatever the stopwatch likes.

While working on my current car, I was thinking of things to pick up when my EX comes in. Here is a short list of things to consider when buying your car.

V2 Aluminum knuckles
Aluminum rear uprights
Hard front bumper (not sure what is standard)
Lightweight arms
Axle pin covers
Servo saver
Steel driveshafts for the front end (not positive whether they come standard)
Mira outdrives/Xray ECS (if you wish)
Killer paint job to show off the new ride.

Really looking forward to getting the new kit.

Mike is correct.

Also, the EX will have a standard chassis and one slightly stiffer (same with the top decks).
