Hey Bill it was Vegas where they droped the ball, we speced the CRC WGT tires at our Nat's last year... The Rubber Tires were Jaco and they were 12th hour arrival... but we had a back up plan in place.....

Can't imagine any spec tire will be able to be purchased outside the event and or the tech line....

Is there known pricing for the sets?

Still remembering that Jaco dropped the ball at the last minute on supplying spec WGT tires at last Carpet Nats in 2011.

Just want to have my act together.

Many thanks.

Bill
Hi Bill

The jaco WGT tires will be in stock and must be bought at the race. We will have the pricing up soon. Everything is on track.

Thanks Drew

Without saying anything about how other races have gone, and not to say were perfect, but this has been one of the things I wanted to make sure we got right. Drew and Jaco have been working hard for us to be certain we have PLENTY of tires and have them in PLENTY of time. I don't personally set the price on the tires, but the discussions I have had with Jaco and our store owner have me convinced the racers interests are being placed ahead of profits. We (Mikes Hobbyshop, me personally, and our sponsors) want to be the reason people forget any negative aspects surrounding this race and remember having the kind of experience that invigorates on-road racing. I will talk with our store owner and see if we can get pricing posted. Thanks for the reply Drew.

Wait! Vegas! I'm senile! But, you knew that!

Must indicate that your race was on par with the IIC amigo.

Tekin is working on a newer version (I think they have called it 223, but who knows)and is planning to submit it to ROAR before Carpet Nats. Not sure if it will be approved in time, but if it is not then I assume 212 would be the version to use.

If I am not wrong, software is also subject to the 2 week rule, so chances are, the 2.2? versions will probably not be legal, unless the new commercial version is released within the next week or so.

Will it matter? There will always be unavailable versions being run.

How would tech that continually anyway. plug each car into a hotwire after the race?

222 has 3 blinky lights and 212 has 2 blinky lights. IMO it would be in Tekins best interest to get the new software out and approved for the nats. I really dont want to have to put the old software back on my car.

Actually 222 has two sets of blinking lights. When in locked spec mode its 3 lights. When set to profile 1 that is not locked in its the same 2 lights as 212. Only way to tell is with a hotwire.
