1/10th pan car, Rubber tires?

Pardon my lack of knowledge in this department. I've always been intrested in the class but I dont know. Do they make a rubber tire for cars like the 10R5 or is it Foam only?

There really isn't a class in my area and I just want somthing to play with, but I dont really want to invest in a Tire truer for a toy. I ran the class a few years back and know that the only way to make the car handle right is to true the tires. While its only a toy, I would like to run good laps and have the car handle properly. I'll invest if I have to in the truer, but it would be nice to not have to

If you want a pan car with rubber tires, F1 cars might be the direction you should look into.

TQRC stocks all the tires/wheels/kits necessary.

The UF1 site has tons of info as well.

Kissling makes complete tire/wheel combo's.
Ain't cheap tho and are developed for rain racing.

The BSR's are for big banked concrete tracks. If you used the World GT tires and rotate them side to side after each run the will stay close. I will true them for you anytime!!!

So how hard is it to put the rubber tires on? I thought Pan car wheels were smooth and the links for the F1 rubber tires looks like they go on grooved wheels?

the BSR tires look pretty slick. But $80 for one set of tires is pretty high if your not racing.

I have never seen rubber tires for a pan car for the current 4 bolt hubs, not including capped tires.

If you don't mind looking for another car, try a Tamiya F103GT. It uses 12mm hexes to mount the wheels and tires. You'll be able to use regular touring car tires and it still has pan car dimensions.

The HPI F10 and Sakura FGX also uses 12mm hexes but the dimensions are more like the current formula 1 cars.

If you want to be super creative, you can take the F10 rear axle and adapt it to a regular pan car. It uses standard, not metric bearings for the axle. I can't remember the dimensions off-had but it's standard pan car bearings.

You'll have to get real creative with the front, but between the F103GT, F10 and Sakura FGX the hubs all accept 12mm hexes but use the sliding kingpin design.

Look for Kissling tires.
They sell them for Pro10/WGT.

Adam, forget the 1/10 tires for the pancars, not going to happen. They are for oval only and will not quite go in a straight line on asphalt. Run the HPI as is. Do you have foams for it? Onelug still allows them for now.

Budman, anytime? Be here thursday at 7 am. I got plenty of truing for you.:D

my 10R5 is a World GT car, not an Oval car. It can turn left and right :p of course its only going left on Sunday
