Default Motor Tuning

Say you go to a track where they're handing out either 19T or 27T motors. Say you've got a dyno to test all your changes. What are some things you can do to make your motor faster than the other guy's?

I know aligning the brush hoods and breaking in the brushes work. Is there a brush hood alignment tool? I'm sure there is...

Is there an advantage to say getting a brush that has a half face and turning one brush upside down so each brush touches only "its" piece of the comm?

What kinds of brushes, springs, shims, oil, etc. do you use to make your car the fastest?

Big Jim's Blackbook is the source of all that you are asking for. Yes he even has a brush hood alignment tool. There is alot you can do to make your handout better than others. www.team-paradigm.com has a section that tells you how to tweak a handout without making it illegal and they also sell Big Jim's stuff. Check it out. If you still ahve questions. Ask for Matt or Brandon at Team Paradigm they will give you some pointers also.
Hope this helps
