Default Protoform Stratus 3.0

Couldn't locate the previous thread. Sorry!

Update. CD was running a preproduction Stratus 3.0 yesterday. All I can say is it looks VERY PROMISING. He had great success with it. He compared to other bodies and it was better each time. The lines are amazing. Dale Epp has stepped up the occassion. This will be a must have item. Very nice!

I believe photos will be available Wednesday @:

Dale told me about this body at the Worlds. Its supposed to be a high down force body like the Mazda 6...right? Are you guys running it on Carpet? I recall you guys don't like the 6 on carpet and prefer the Alfa 2.0. Is that right?

Please pardon the dumb questions of a asphalt racer

We didn't like the Mazda on carpet cuz it has tons of turn in, but no exit steering. That's my feeling on that body, anyway.

Adrian,

The Mazda is pretty good carpet, but a little to stuck. The Alpha definitely frees the car up a little more. This new 3.0 is a high downforce carpet monster. The lines are just sick. Pics should be on the site Wednesday. CD was testing it on carpet. It's 20 degrees here

Greg,

Wish I could bro. I will be up after the Holidays. I work Tues-Friday nights. So Saturday in Toledo is not very appealing after working all night....

I got a few last week and they look SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET I'll try to get a pic of a painted one up after the 15th. The rear wing mount is like nothing you guys have ever seen and the hood is much more riggid than any body i've used or painted.

How does or will this body compare to the Alpha? To me the Parma is a little different then the Proto and the Losi one is different from these.

I personally like the feel of the nemesis. Can not wait to see pics of the 3.0 and give one a try.

Later,

Later,
Tons of downforce - Tons of steering - and rotates awesome

Closer to a Parma Alfa than the others. The Parma Alfa and this new Protoform Stratus 3.0 will be the two most popular/dominant touring bodies on carpet.

Over here in San Antonio,TX we race on asphalt, so the body of choice is the Mazada 6. I was wondering what you alls opinion on a good body to run on asphalt?
