Default New Jaco World GT Spec Lilac Tires ?

Anyone pickup a set of the New Jaco World GT Spec tires ?
They are mounted on white wheels, and have no stripe in the tire to denote they are a spec foam.

What gives ?

The cheapest available foam/rubber on the cheapest available wheel with absolutely no consistency is what I have come to expect from Jaco.

Last year they were on plain black wheels with no stripe.

The year before they were on the carbon fibre look wheels again with no stripe.

I had some on order for over a year. Finally bought the CRC ones.

The ones that our track received were plain black wheels with a yellow stripe of foam on the tires... and this was 2 weeks ago.

What is the deal with Jaco? They wobble. The bearing is loose for more wobble

Would it be that hard to do a new mold ...lol

My understanding is that these are coming from a new production facility, and that the 12th wheel/bearing fitment issue has also been resolved, and will be a running change.

Availability issues aside, better foam and better wheels than the other option. Lap times and price point are what matter.

The new white wheel was released just after IIC this year. We have received two batches of these in Canada. Personally I like the look of the new wheel totally changes the look of the WGT cars..

As for performance and quality, I agree 100% with what Pete said, Jack personally picks and matches each batch by hand in the JACO factory in the USA... Offshore production can't offer that!

Hey Korgae,

Question for ya do you know when the 1/12th tires are going to be available? Can't find them anywhere online?

Really? I know the guy that mounts the CRC/BSR tires pretty well. I also have run a TON pf WGT laps on both brands of tire. I've found they are equal in quality and performance.

I haven't tried the new white wheels yet, but I will say I have several warped carbon-look wheels, mostly rears. My BSR wheeled tires are all VERY true. Not knocking the Jacos, just stating my experience.

Personaly I think all work the same but I like the jaco's better cause of the offset they offer a larger tunning window for width. Also t.m racing components make a wgt tire with the same offset as jaco's and work very well. Having a white wheel option will be cool to so not everyone has to run the same look of black wheels

The new white wheel is the new way for Jaco to spec the WGT class. We used to do them in Carbon wrap, but that company went out of business. The yellow strip or any strip of different foam is stupid "my thinking". The wheel makes it easier to spec and check.

Look for the whole line of Jaco product to be back up and in stock with in the month.

Also like Peter said the 1/12 fronts have been fixed. No more wobble in the new batch's of wheels.

Thanks Drew
