They are either .4 or .6 module. Not quite the same as 48 or 64 pitch.

The solution most people use is to throw away the Tamiya gear and get 64 pitch gears.

the spur gear in question is on my 415 MSXX it's a 102 tooth. I've been looking for an after market spur gear but can't find anyone that has a 102 tooth gear.

That depends on the tracks and your driving style. In very general with 13.5 brushless you can try to gear your car to the final drive ratio of 7.0 to 7.5. I used this range for my TA05R with 19T brushed.

I used between a 5 and 4.5 FDR with my Novak SS 13.5 depending on the track. Always temp the motor when testing out a new gear ratio, you want to keep the temps down below 180F preferably around 140-160.

the .6 looks somethin in between 32 and 48 pitch

the .4 is quite close to 64p, dont bee fooled or try to mix match. dont even try to buy robinsion 48 or 64 'metrics' b/c it'll confuse u down the road when u want 1 for a non-tamiya vehicle and ur siftin thru u box.

This is more like that ratio, with the LRP 13.5 currently in my car, I'm running 4.2 fdr...

i found that the 102 spur included in the 415msx kit is a standard 64 pitch, but the 105t spur in the 416, ta05r, and other kits are tamiya's 0.4 module (slightly different than 64 pitch). many people use the tamiya spurs with 64 pitch pinions with no problems.

kimbrough, xenon, aps racing make 102 spurs

Default So you guys know...

32, 48, and 64 pitch gears refer to the number of teeth per inch, if you could lay it out straight.

The 0.4 and 0.6 module gears are based on a metric measurment (not sure exactly how it goes). So a 0.4 gear if you converted it would come out to something like 62.3 teeth per inch, which is why you can't use it with "standard" gears.
