Exotek F1R

Yes these are the parts I used. However today I was informed that the Tamiya F104 pivot balls would fit and I installed them. (Tam51485) The only other parts required are the 8 screws and locknuts for mounting the arm set together. You have to do a small amount it trimming on the front wing for proper fitting. Otherwise it bolts right on the car without any issues.

So I've been running the F1R3 with the aluminum chassis for 7 months now with great success on black carpet. I recently installed the CRC lower front arms on the car and it was a drastic improvement over the plastic lower. There is a small amount of slop because of the lower ball is standard instead of metric but the consistency has dramatically improved. Has Exotek considered making a solid carbon lower arm set with the proper balls? It would be an excellent option rounding out an already stellar platform.
There is a prototype carbon lower arm getting tested but we need to revise it and test some more...

So, finally, I may be able to run my Exotek R3 this coming Sunday.
It's been a good year and I am very excited to see how she goes.
Took me a while to figure out thing's again. Taking stuff apart etc.
Will be very interesting trying the two wheel drive electric F1 again.

Ok.
MikeR or another of you Exotek drivers.
My R3 car now has the IFS system. I am going to start out with the Olive springs along with the Associated Black side springs.
Does 10K damping in the damping tubes for the side springs and 100K in the front IFS Dampers sound close enough to start?
By the way. It's going to be on carpet.
Thanks in advance.

Does anyone run 90's style body with IFS? Front shock "tower" seems to be a bit too high to do so..

Any news on the carbon lower arms?

Is the F104 SERVO MOUNT FOR #1473 IFS SET - Exotek Racing compatible with Futaba S9550? Photos on exotek site shows S9551 which is 1mm narrower, so I am not sure if S9550 will fit..
