I ordered mine from stormer hobbies and had it in a couple days. BTW my car was working pretty well this morning, installed ride hards in the front and soft rears. still looking for steering though. I think i will try medium in the front. This car is becoming a real joy to drive, the 104 was never this fun.

I'm hoping to find one, Stormer out. Checking with BP. Going to have to build one up as I don't have a Tamiya car, just F109s and an FGX. Don't know if F109 motor pod and Tamiya have same mounting hole layout. I have 2 F104 frontends and tires. So I shouldn't need a whole lot to do it.

I believe they do...however the axle height is the same as the F103 so with F104 tires you end up with huge rear ride heights.

Hey Mike,

Any chance I could talk you into making a side shock mount that will fit this pod?

http://www.rcmart.com/rc-f104-trg510...a-p-32367.html

Very cool pod that I would love to be able to use.

Also...which Pit tires are listed in the instructions? Are they a good combination for asphalt? Tried to download em to get an idea but didn't see a download page for the instructions. Which rims work best with the Pit tires? Right now I'm putting together my wish list of parts and hope to order everything on Friday

Pit tires require tamiya foam rims. You can make the rubber rims work if you modify them. The 571/572 are good on asphalt and carpet from what I hear. I run them on carpet and they work great.

They also work well with the Ride rims. I have Rides on my 109s and FGX and apparently they have fixed the fragile problem they had earlier on.

Default GQ Racing Tires

GQ F1 (Tamiya F104) mounted tires are in stock now for the first time in the USA. We have them for carpet and pavement racing and they come with cool black rims. If you want the best traction and the longest wearing foam rubber tires then you want to try GQ Tires.

I have my Exotek F1R completely built and ready to put on the track as soon as I get my body painted. I love F1 so this car is going to be fun to driver!

In January we will also have a F1 Pro Tire. The rim will be a different size which will increase speed and turning performance. GQ Tires are always perfection and GQ continously looks to manufacture faster tires.

Can find them at Bruckner Hobbies, SpeedWorld or at GQ America.(website listed below)

Happy Holidays to all !

Spent a few hours at the track last night and worked with the center shock and found the steering I was looking for, wow the F1R really came to life. Saturday is our last points race for the fall and I think I will use the F1R instead of the 109!

got my kit today and have it all done minus the electronics, pretty nice conversion When running the Shimizu rear tires, are people really running those thin inserts that come with the tires? Wanted to check before I glued them up.
