Congrats MikeR!! Finally an innovative designed car, it looks like you guys REALLY did your homework on this one and left no stone unturned! What are the possibilities of a black edition? I will order as soon as it is available.

Mike,

Can you please explain the hybrid link, the website photos don't illustrate the difference.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi, email Exotek. We have a few of the alloy parts still.

Any suggestions how to pick up the steerng on the ed high speed corners? Maybe I am just over driving the car. I am about .4 off the really fast cars at my local track.

The diff still diffs out with the thrust bearing. I just got a new F103 setup and will swap out. Hopefully it is just worn spring washers.
Some quick remedies (1 at a time);
-Reduce toe out
-Increase anti squat- add 1mm spacer under the 2 side links at the forward links only
-Increase ackerman- move servo forward.
-Increase steering knuckle throw- grind a few mm off the steering stoppers on the lower arm.

Good point

Thx Marcus! Everytime I thought the car was ready to go to production we kept getting inspired to update more and more and more. Luckily still completed in time for the Holidays lol.

Hi!
I thought a picture was worth 1000 words, lol.
Note the standard link suspension- has the normal 5 pivot balls.
Then see that the chassis is cut into a 'T-plate' type suspension.
Some experienced pan car racers know that link suspension excels on carpet while 't-plate' excels on asphalt. Link is more responsive while t-plate absorbs more bumps. I have come up with the simple solution to have both.
Testing over the past year went incredibly well with the new solution. So well I promptly filed for patent pending on it to keep the others from duplicating the solution

We are closing for a few days for Thanksgiving break but hope to start preorders next week and begin shipping a few days after.
Mark your calenders;
Preorders Dec 3.
Shipping Dec 6.

Thanks All!

Toe out was already reduced. I will test the Anit squat on Friday. Car was wicked fast but not fast enough on Sat, got a second place with the car's first ever race. Not a bad start. Car was slow to start the run but the last 4 minutes it was really fast. Ended up going to a Tamiya Blue Main Spring and Tamiya Gold Side springs with 1 turn of preload.

@ MikeR

Can I get away with using the RM-01/Version 2 Pro's pitch damper, will that extra hole on the battery brace accept it's use?

Very very cool car. I may have to rethink my crc wtf1 plans. Looks like a really complete conversion kit too. Is it just add axle and front end of choice to make it a complete roller?

Front end
Axle/diff
axle locators
Shock
Body/wings

Depending on what the complete CRC car cost, I may go with the exotek as well!
