What ESC do I put in this one?

I have seen the Tekin RS in the pictures, but that one is hard to get and expensive...
( Someone know of a dealer in Europe that stocks the Tekin ESC?)

So alternatives please...
what will fit?
How much space is there from the lipo to the links?

The Novak Edge or Kinetic should be a good fit.
Can't wait for that new laydown servo setup. Should help with weight distribution and looks great too.
Can't wait to get my kit. Should be here early next week !

Same wheelbases just like we did with the EXO103 and EXO104- same as the F104. I ran the F1R as a F103 all last season. Car was excellent

Many of todays sensored esc's have plenty of room here- like what Evoracer has listed as well as LRP TC v2, speedpassion cirtix and so on.
The gap is 18mm. No fan is needed on the ESC for F1 by the way
What ESC do you have? You definitely want to run a smaller esc. A heavy esc unbalances the F104 no matter the chassis. A balanced chassis from left to right is critical for F1 pan cars. Adding lead to the receiver side can help here.

A picture with your post, when trouble shooting, will probably get more rctech help than without...

Wow !! Just got my F1R conversion. Nice service Mike !! Can't wait to get it together. Still getting things in place after spending the whole weekend moving but I'll find a corner somewhere to get my F103 running. Look for reports as things progress.

Thanks!
I am running a hobbyking 100A ESC at the moment, trying to decide on a new ESC for the exotek, which by the way is in the mail right now. I can not find the Tekin in Europe so I'll look up the others you guys have suggested. We are running 13.5T motors on a big outdoor track, normally using foam tires.

I don't see different part numbers for F103 and F104 wheelbases...how do we order one or the other?

All of the kits have the same wheelbase,so if you use F103 parts its a little longer than a Tamiya F103. Dont know the exact wheel base but you get the idea.
