Well of the 4 F1s that ran yesterday I think mine was probably the best working one. We had 2 F1Rs, 1 F104 Pro, and a F109. My lowered flex links seemed to work pretty well. Though I'm starting to think the recommended tires are not going to be the best for our track. The back end is planted most of the time but every now and then it wants to kick out so a slight amount of rear end grip increase is needed. As for the fronts, at the start of the race the car was really good...a little bit of push in the corners but really drivable. But as the race goes on the push gets worse. So I'm thinking the fronts are too soft and starting to overheat as they get worked. All in all the car was pretty good for it's first actual race day out Just some minor tuning to do and I think it'll be great.

When traction is low on our carpet track I run the 574/575. I feel they have a little more grip than the 571/572. Grip comes back up and I'll start traction rolling so I go back to the 571/572.

Hi can someone please point me in the direction of where is the best place to buy the F104 rims and Pit Shimizu tyres? I can't find the foam F104 rims where I normally shop?

thanks

EDIT: thanks texastc - just ordered through Banzai, so should all arrive when my F1R kit gets here.

Rims are out of stock from Tamiya. Havent heard when they will be available. You can get Pit Shimizu thru Banzai Hobby. We get them thru TQ RC here in the States. Banzai shows they have the rims in stock.

The word from Tamiya is that Tamiya rubber tires do not work well on carpet...
Are you not allowed to use Pit Shimizus?

I'm sorry for ruining the thread, but does anybody know where I can find the manual for the EXO104?
Just found the kit in all my stash and thought it was time.
