I'd like to know if there is a good way to test a Schottky diode. I do have a digital voltmeter, but have never tested them with it. I know most people say to see if they're popped open to determine if they're bad, but I'd like a more scientific way. Thanks in advance for any replies!

Why would you want to test it.....if the diod itself has a crack in the casing, then its bad....if its stil intact, then don't worry about it.
