Default Advice on a charger

I am picking up a new charger and I am thinkin about these 2:

LRP Pulsar Competition 2

Duratrax ICE

I want a charger that can also run my lathe and break in my motors and both of these have those features.

I know the ICE is cheaper, but price isnt a huge factor since it is a gift for me.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I will be placing the order end of today.

Thanx.

Oh, and since the ICE is brand new, I may not even be able to get it right away.

From all that I have read on the ICE it is the charger I would have bought, if it had been out six months ago. I think you can't go wrong with anything LRP makes. A friend uses the pulsar and he loves it. I use the Eagle Racing/Integy CDC and the GM Commander and these both are awsome chargers. I would give the ICE a try. I believe Duratax has a great warrentee system.

Wow, from the duratrax website the ICE is a really cool charger(pun intended). I usually don't participate in these "recommend xxx vs yyy" but it seems someone should give duratrax a chance.

The lrp pulsar comp is a great charger, i've got the 1st one and it's amazing, and no where near the price of the gfx but the lrp has amazing features and quality and it's also a very easy charger to use

I bought a cheap duratrax charger a few months ago for charging my receiver packs, I have to say for a $55 charger it is great.

I appreciate all the feedback you guys gave, it is appreciated. I just ordered the Pulsar 2 and a power supply. I have only been racing 6 months, so I am slowly building myself up equipment wise, replacing with better stuff as I go. I will no doubt need a new 2nd charger since my current one is getting bumped to back since the Pulsar is coming. But maybe in a while I will get the ICE as a second charger. I did look good. But since it is so new, getting it will be tough.

Thanx again.

Although I may sound like I'm bought on the duratrax charger, you should rest assured that the PC 2 is going to be a very very good charger. 6(?) pros in the Worlds A mains is not going to be wrong.

All the mentioned chargers sound great. I run the integy 16x5x6 and I love it! As for the ICE, not bad at all. I am looking forward to a review on it...as it also charges lipo! PIMP!

The ICE looks to be quite a sweet piece of kit. Pity about 10 amp discharge, but hey... for around US$120 what do you want?
