So what scares you?
the fact that im gonna have to stop it one day

What scares me is that I will get so nervous that my hands tremble so much that I can't control it. I know there are others, but I shake like crazy and I'm scared that someday it will get so bad that it will affect my driving.

If a lapper gets in my way, doesn't move it and gets hacked for it...I chalk it up as his fault for not moving...

Anyone back to the question:
I get scared because if I blow it I know that was my last chance for the next month cause by dad always spends our racing money on stupid rubbish...

simple...

The absolutely ABSURD amount of money I spend to run at a "competitive level". Advice to beginners - stay a "sportsman" forever...

Those of you talking about the nervousness factor and shaking while driving, etc... try moving from a pistol grip to a stick radio. It did wonders for me. It provides a much more stable "platform" for your hands, resting the Tx against your belly - and for some reason, the thumbs have less of a tendency to shake than the fingers and the rest of the hand. Try it, you'll like it!

After all your time, effort, money, blood sweat & tears, to miss your race because you couldn't hear the announcer call your race up.

Chunking foam tires... Well, cant' say that I'm scared of it.. just hate it! But what scares me is local tracks turnouts getting lower and lower... then having to find a new place to race....

My only real concern or scare is taking someone out. Everyone wants to race clean and fair. I get nervous passing or moving outside my line for fear of taking someone out that is faster than me.
