This was the rumor at Vegas. Looks good, might get me to put up with ROAR tech for another year. Though I'll have to cut it back to 1 class or something so there is time to practice AND stand in lines longer and slower than Disneyland to tech everything down to the pinion gear

I wonder what the spec rubber tire will be. I remember hearing that locals run softer tires to improve grip. Please flame me if I'm just wrong...

We will be posting all info on the official 2012 carpet nats thread as soon as we get all the info. We just now got the dates and are now working out the smaller details such as what tire will be used. Wait for Andrew Doherty to post since this is his baby.

I will definitely get a thread going with all the info once we have something more than dates and location. I've held off on starting the thread because I hate a tease as much as the next guy! I would really like to get as many details ironed out as soon as possible to give everyone a chance to make plans. Glad to see buzz about Carpet Nats. I know it sounds a bit cliche, but the track owner, racers, and I really are trying to do anything and everything we can to make this Carpet Nats stand out and shine brightly. If the Short Course Showdown's final stop at our track is any indication, this won't be a problem!

I can't wait to see all my buds I missed in Vegas!

Later,

AWD

Maybe we need to adopt a FASSTPass system, lol.

Were hammering out the classes, tires, etc now. Definitely no need for flaming, we'll leave that for the Gate. In the last year of club and local trophy races we have run both the Solaris Mediums and the XRay OG Spec tire. Both worked well. I don't expect the spec tire to be anything out of the ordinary.

This was our race last fall. This fall will be even better with the changes we made. This is now our club race traction that we get.
