Motor spray.....
On rubber, soak for 5 minutes than grip....
Motor spray dries out the rubber so the tire will absorb more grip & get softer....

I've recently done some more testing comparing it to Paragon's FX2 traction compound and again the WD40 felt much better. Actually the FX2 was very similar to Ground Effects as far as traction. Not sure if there is a difference in the formula they used. Does anyone know?
BTW, if anyone has any knowledge of the difference formulas used for the popular traction compounds out in the market, I'd really appreciate if you can share it with us.

I believe WD-40 is mainly made of disel.......
I havent heard anyone try Trinity`s Death Grip...
It blows alway the WD-40....
Of course Death grip works even better if you soak your tires for 5 minutes with motor spray....( try it)

actually i tried another way from my last post here... MotorSpray on rag wiping tires clean wait 2 min then apply GroundEffects to tires wait 2 min then wipe off with rag that got very tacky once wiped... this is my other .02

The WD-40 trick is a thing that oval guys started on capped oval tires on concreet (sp) to help them soften up a bit so we can get the tire clean of all the blistered rubber, I have used it with much luck. At the norrca paved oval nats that happened 2 weeks ago it was brought to my attention that a new tire cleaner and traction additive was being used, it is called Stick-ET and id did wondres for cleaning the tires as well as increasing the traction. Just thought that some of you on-road guys might want to try. I dont know where to get it except the shop in bakersfield, showtime.

WD is not diesel, so do not try diesel oil on your tires. WD 40 is kerozene, with other words simple jet-fuel. So you can get it for cheap at an airport. Sadly the most effective tire cleaner and traction compound what is toluol with other words methylbenzene (C6H5CH3) is extremely flammable and highly dangerous if swallowed. Some serious guys use it at us, and it works pretty fast and gives a long lasting high traction even in winter.

WD-40 is a penetrant. it soaks in and opens up the pores in the rubber. bigger pores = softer rubber.
another traction additive that will actually soften the rubber go to ur local paint supply store and buy zylene and tolulene mix it 50/50. this may be a little stong so when u apply it put a little on a rag and wipe in on via the rag then race no more wipe needed.

wd 40 on foams
I tried it on different types of foam with varying results.
On standard foams (green, blue etc.)it worked fairly well. Almost as good as sunscreen. takes some time for the foam to absorb the Wd 40It will also restore some of the suppleness on dried out foams.
On foams with rubber content (pink, purple, magenta etc) its excellent. Feels very grippy shortly after applying but not actually sticky which is a good thing.
