Charger/Charging question

I am looking at getting a new charger. The two I have it narrowed down to have different max discharge rates. What I would like to know is, is it better to discharge packs at 20amps or 30amps?

Thanks

Depends on the type of racing you do. If you run 12th scale 30 is over kill. If you are running strait TC 6 cell packs than 30 is better. But I would be more concerned about charge rate than discharge rate. I can make a 80amp discharger if a I want but I can not built my own charger. So if you are serious about racing than I would look at chargers that at least go uyp to 6amp charge rate.
Hope this helps,

I run mostly TC. I am just staring 1/12.

So, TC discharge rate sould be 30amps and 1/12 should be 20amps?? Or is that still overkill for 1/12?

no 20 is great for 12th IMO
