It is now getting hot here in Australia and my current servo tape seems to get tacky and then lose what ever it is holding.

I need a good strong tape and one that will peel of when required.

So what is the best Servo Tape?
Home depot has great double sided tape. It has a red plastic around it

That's the stuff I was talking about...

it's clear silicone-like stuff... sticks like heck, come off in one piece if you twist it off, and it provides a little cushioning against vibrations because it's rubbery...

Give this a try:

http://www.amazon.com/Red-Yard-Roll-...ef=pd_sim_bt_1

This thinner than parma, just as sticky, and half the price.

The best tape I've found has been the team sr tape.

I have used this:

Very strong, really cheap. Keeps all my stuff in place even under hard bash.

I use Scotch Exterior Mounting Tape. You can find it at big box hardware stores in the paint section. Here is a link on Home Depot (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Scotch-1-...1-DC/100575385).

As far as a testimonial, the molding on my car door was starting to peel off at one end. I used some of this tape to stick the molding back on my car. It is still holding strong after several years of being exposed to 4 seasons of weather.

This tape is more adhesive that the 3M/Scotch clear tape and can take a bit more effort to remove. However, it will come off in one piece once when you do remove it.

Note: I mainly race onroad, indoors.

I don't know the brand, but that Scotch Exterior mounting tape looks like the stuff I use. Got it here in Canada at Canadian Tire. I first got it to stick the disc to my dash to mount my GPS to. It held in high heat temps inside the car for several years before I removed it to switch cars. I've been using it in my RC cars (indoor carpet) for a few years now. It holds firm, but comes off relatively easy.

Make sure you clean both surfaces with rubbing alcohol before sticking...

just a warning about the scotch though.. it can be tricky to get parts off the chassis if you cleaned everything and applied properly.. that stuff is STUCK and requires some gentle, sometimes not so gentle prying to get it off.

havent found an actual model branded tape i like. most come off in peices and leave a shitmess on the chassis or your gear.

after using up all my parma tape, i went to walmart to look at the 3m products. In the office supplies area i found some of their clear sticky tape. It is stickier than parma, doesn't tear as easily as paris, and was considerably cheaper. Thats 3 wins for 3M.
