Can a gen x be converted straight to the xi or the new car? It has the brushless pod alreadyAnything extra needed? I know I could update to the xl for sure, but the xi I'm not positive. What about the new car. I can get a loke new Gen X with old 4 cell chassis that can do one cell for trade, and might run it like that... But wanted to know about the update if I wanted to. I'd Like to stay where getting help is easy, most locals run Top, but a few run crc but the newer cars. Trying to get back to 1/12 a cheap route, and this trade would be it, as I seem to miss good deals on rollers recently.

yes the x can be upgraded to the xi but in addition to the chassis kit i think youll need the longer links from the xl/xi. i think thats all youll need (the crc guys will correct if im wrong), and from your signature you already have front end parts to share from your wgt car so i would do the trade

Ryan's right. If you wanna run the car in the inline configuration you'll need the "shorty" adapter as well.

I got a potentially dumb question, so please excuse my thinking here.

Anyway, I have been thinking of doing 1/12 scale again as a buddy picked one up. I have liked CRC from what I have seen of them, and with the new car out, figure there should be some deals to be had on this one.

I saw pictures of the shorty 1S setup and I was curious, based on the dimensions of the pack versus a ROAR legal 7.4V Saddle pack, can you (assuming you raise up the mount area for the center shock) use 1 saddle pack battery from the set?

Physically you could do that I think but if your racing a ROAR race it would be illegal as the 2S packs are much taller and are over the limits set forth by ROAR for 1S packs.

I was looking at the new Xti, it looks like the servo are glued onto the chassis and it is the small 94971 airtronics servo. if my 9650 cannot fitted into the car properly I will pass this one and stick with my Xi. 94971 is very hard to get for me.

According to the thread on the Xti the JR 3650 will fit as long as you cut off one of the ears. I believe the Futaba 9650 is the same dimensions overall...so it might fit if the output shaft is close enough to come out centered in the car.

No problem. I had a JR3650 (with tabs removed) glued in that position on my Xi at the beginning of the year and had no issue with its placement. Basically, I copied the layout that was already on my WGT cars...Battery forward and electronics behind.

The new car is now featured on CRC's website.

The Futaba 9650 is a bit bigger than the JR 3650 and likely won't fit in the 'new' position. I got excited and ordered an XTi and am now trying to figure out which servo to use. I feel the JR is severely overpriced so it will likely be the Airtronics unless the Spekrum A5040 becomes available somewhere.

The Spektrum is awesome. We tested some for them, and they worked fantastic!

Do you know of anywhere that has the Spektrums available Dumper? I've been looking and they seem to be out of stock everywhere. I'm hoping to put one in the XTi when it shows up and will likely put them in the pair of Xi's and my WGT as well.

I gather the Spektrum is a new model? I sure like the price...

Maybe try Chief Aircraft...
