Uh...how about calling or emailing Much More?

If you didn't do anything wrong and it is under warranty they will fix it. If It is not under warranty or if user error is the culprit they can fix it for a fee.

That is the best for your buck out there.. And plus it is smaller than a huge computer supply that needs another $15 in parts to work for our applications..
Hope this helps,

Does the charger show internal resistance figure during charge and discharge?

Hi,
I would just like to know the best 'ctx charge profile' for 1700 Panasonic P170SCR SP (NiCad) please ? I will be using it on my Tamiya M03 mini Cooper using Tamiya Sport Tuned motor.

Thanks,

2 questions:

1. Whats version is the software up to? Are the latest ones in the shops up to date?

2. Where can I buy in the U.S. ? Where is the cheapest place?

I thought i read back in the early pages of this thread this was selling for around $140-160 U.S.

Nexus wants $210
Is it really worth that? cause pretty much this thing only charges, no motor run in and low discharge rate. I dont need Lipo charging either.
I already have a GFX, is this a better charger? honestly can you feel a difference. I run Oval so step charging really hasnt taken off yet either in our arena.

$140-$160 is the price for overseas. you will not have any warranty service if something happens to your unit. plus with shipping, the charger will run about $180.

most shops in the US sells the CTX-CM for $209. if anything happens you just send it back to the distributor or LHS for service.

If you live in the USA, there is pretty much no advantage to purchasing the charger overseas. Prices are not currently in the $140-$160 range overseas...check out precisionrc and rcmodel; both sell the charger for $189. Shipped to the USA, the prices are pretty much equal.

The thing that makes the CM different is generally the way it charges...it has the most pure linear current available on the market. As a result, the CM causes less voltage fluctuation during charge and utilizes significantly lower delta peak settings.
Aside from this, most racers like being able to have a temp cutoff and having foolproof insurace against false peak. Also, it doesn't "have fits" with dead-shorted packs.

Thanks,
It has been mentioned that a standard linear charge usually gives the best performance in NiCds. We have not tried the CM with NiCds at all.

This doesn't mean it's not worth trying a CTX profile, though...
