right just bruogh one of these charger the platnum vertion and i discharged aa set of east power 4200 cells and then chargerd them up again 0mah 5.5amps and 14mv and i only managed to to peak cut at 3600 does any one know what has happend with this charge and can any noe help me
thaks
i tried setting my chargers @ 0mah with same results peaking lower , try setting
mah @ 4800 for 4200 packs and mv/per pack @ 06 and you will see your packs peaking around 9.42 ,, usually when you charge a pack for the first time (not new) it will peak sometimes lower or higher than its cap
ok so i should set it to 4800mah but i 06 is to low as the cell master measures them as a hole pack no individual cells well im trying a different pack at the moment to see how that turns out. any other suggestions on what could be wrong or is it just the set up on the charger
thanks
right discharged a pack and then charged a pack and it only charged them to 2200mah on the same charge as before could it be the battery's or the charger
When the battery is done charging, hit the down key, and it will tell you the voltage it peaked at. Ideally it should peak at 9.1~9.4 volts. If the number is much lower, then the battery is out of balance. If this is the case, you can either use a cell balancer like the Novak Smart tray or Tekin Battery Doctor, or you can individually peak charge each cell with 6 mV peak detection. Each cell should peak at 1.5~1.51 volts.
Also, if your 4200 has been sitting at the shop discharged for a while, it will lose capacity, so it wouldn't be surprising if it only charged up to 3800. If it's a fresh pack, then it should be able to charge up to 4200~4400.
ok thanks i will try that and see what happens and the batterys were second hand hardly use so they should of be fairly charged. but thanks for the help and if that doesnt help then i will come back to you lot
It's probably the battery. If your charger gets 3600 and another gets 3800, that's not much difference, so the battery either is pretty old, or has been allowed to self discharge to 0v.
Could somebody tell me the charging profile(linear and step charge mode) to be most safety and also good performance if i wonder charge 5 cells ib4600 shv battery pack with my Cell Master.
And also for discharge, what about the profile if i wonder discharging my batteries with my CTXD2?
Tell me the charging profile to my brand news IB4200WC. I run a Silver Can class championship here on Brazil. I have the CTX- Andy Moore Edition with heatsink.
Whats up guys I have a question, I just want to know if I can change the temp from celcius to fahrenheit on the cell master? Also I have 8AA 2300mah rechargeable batteries in my radio and I was wondering if I can charge them while in the battery tray of the radio? And if yes what setting should I charge them at.

Well, I can't answer the Fahrenheit question, but for the AA's, I wouldn't go any higher than 1A linear with a normal delta as they tend to false peak (most AAs are not designed for a fast charge), and at that rate you should be able to charge them in the tray with no concerns.
