The correct term is "manscaping".

I'm not certain, but it has things that are a bit different from my SM converted XII. Mainly, the chassis. Not sure what's going on with the two posts next to the rx.

The chassis definately look like Xray ... It seems its Poul Lemieux's car (the sticker on the fan). The tubes also look a bit different fra SM's, but could be theres.

Nice to see, that the sidesprings is mooved away from the sidelinks and the battery can be changed without partly to take the car apart.

The two aluposts beside the rx is for the shock - look carefully beside the car, where you can see the shock and the carbonplate to mount it.

It seems that Xray sticks to its front ... and we have to live with the (often to much) play wich is in it. It also worn quick, but maybe the new stronger compositematerial will help a littele bit here :-)

Yup. Take a look at the top of this shot. It's a little blurry and obscured, but it looks like one with the shock in place. Maybe EA's.

Also looks like new front arm set up.

It certenly look like an AE front ... and not an Xray copy ... but could of couse be it in the future hence it not the ususal way Xray do things. I have rather seen a new frontend like Serpents (but in Xray design of couse) ... no slop, long wearing and tons of adjustability. Could be improved on the axlelength so there could bee room for 2x0,5 mm shims ... just for quick widening of the front width if the traction rise quickly ... and adjusted accordingly to use the thin M3 nuts, so the axle don't stick out over the wheel line.

I like the damper standoff solution - smart, and hopefully solid enough

I like the sidespring removed away from the sidelinks.

I like the crossbrace lowered accordingly so the height fits the sidesprings (are they using speedmerchant linear spings? ... not Xrays as I can se).
Aparrently the wheelbase has been lenghtened ... and with room enough to play with several positions of the servo (both in front of and behind the servomounts ... or is it different cahssislayous for the final testing?).

And there are also all the small things people have given feedback on both here in R/C tech forums and on Xrays own webside.

Hopefully details will be revealed on Xrays own site soon (X12 announced Oct. 2nd) ... within 7-10 days after first official annoncement would be normal.

Hopefully the many improvements - them we can see and them we cant see - will prove to be in the right direction on improving the car, and show good results.

Best luck to both Lemieux and Eric and the others Xray drivers

The cars ran by Paul L, Alexander Hagberg, Drew Ellis and Eric Anderson (Myself) were all true Xray cars. One of my cars did have a different front end on it to test back to back on a high bite track (which is hard to replicate club racing) and see if there is a difference. In the end I chose the Full Xray front end on my car as it was more consistent and better lap time wise than the car with a different front end on it.

All of our cars were good to very good on the track and everyone worked well to figure out the car. I would say we should be able to get the cars even better at the next event with some of the things we learned at this race. Hagbergs Mod car was very good in the main after a few small changes and was up to 4th but got tangled and fell back a bit to end up in 6th. I was also up to 4th in the 13.5 main after being 10th on the start and half a lap back. Ran in 4th for about half the race and got tangled with a lapped car and fell back as well.

There should be complete details and pictures up very soon on the xray site.

Thanks
EA
