Wow, does McAllister Racing still exicist? Remember their bodies about 25-30yrs ago!

texastc 09-29-2011 12:00 AM

yes they do. And still do it very well.

It's a shame they haven't managed to provide even basic decals for their bodies.

They have loads of decals. Maybe not included but usually the price point reflects that. YGWYPF

Checking their web page I see three decal sets for 10th oval bodies, 4 sets for dirt oval trucks and various sizes of racing numbers. I do not see any decals available for their line of touring, GT or prototype bodies.

It also a shame that the took artistick liberties with the scaling of the body.
The huge front spoiler, smooth grill area, the sides of the body extend too far down, the body extends too far back from the rear axle, the rear spoiler is much bigger as well, not to mention the rear window profile is wrong, it should give anyone using this body an aerodynamic advantage.

Any VTA body that wants to compete with the Protoform J71 in terms of aerodynamics and low COG, is probably not going to look perfectly scale. Close is about as much as you can ask for.

DARKSIDE 09-29-2011 12:43 PM

Come on guys. Its an extra body for our class. Yes a mercury or Pontiac would be great. But I'm for one am happy for any extras.

You guys have to realize that VTA is still new compared to other classes. Be patient its coming.

Just look at the pics from the Scale Nats in Chicago and the Southern Nats in Nashville.

USVTA is on the rise and new bodies and events are coming. Can you say SNOWBIRDS
