Hi RCGuy. Our Track is The Track @ Harbor Hobbies. We are up in Winthrop Harbor (almost Wisconsin!). Website is Harbor-Hobby.net. The carpet is 90-ish by 36. Ive just bought a t3 12 and i notice that straight out the box there is a fare amount of slop in all the turnbuckles! Is it good to have a bit of slop or are there different ball joints or cups from another make of car that can be used to get rid of this??

You need a little bit of slop in the joints to help the steering to center.

If you want to remove some of the slop, try wrapping some plumbers PTFE tape around the ball joint then snap the rod end onto it.

Helped on mine.

for the front do you use 50 or 52 mm ecs units, about to order the shafts so just want to make sure

Got no slop in any of the ball cups but you can put a soft 3mm o ring over the ball, then the cap will be a snug fit

If you have slight slop and a plastic bag fix is too thick, try saran wrap, its quite a bit thinner mil spec and you can double it if you have to. It also kind of cuts itself so you don't have to trim it after you snap the ball cup back on.
