No you will not need to open new holes. The body post positions look the same.
The only difference is that the front tower does not have holes for a 5th body post (I never used one anyway)

I received mine on Saturday. Just started building and finished the chassis (sand & glue). It is my second Xray but my first brand new one.

Raced the car for the first time today. The car generates more grip than the 2011 version (at least in our track which is a very big flowing asphalt track).
So much more that I easily won my class (13,5 boosted) without having driven the car before.

I can't imagine they would include the 2-piece suspension holders for the front end, given all the broken chassis complaints from the 1st batch of T3's. Whereas if you buy them as an option part, the responsibility falls back onto you if you break a chassis...
