Hi,

i use sorex on asphalt - this weekend at a club meeting for the heats i ran sweep tyres - ok they were old etc i found the car to be unpredictable for the mains i changed to a set of sorex and there was an immediate difference. the sorex tyres were as old and had just as much track time at the sweeps did but wow what a difference it made. i also made sure i did the same prep routine for each set to minimize differences. i can now say sorex are the answer for consistency and we all know what consistency means in RC.

Default Spurs for T3'12

Which spur gear to use for FDR 3.0 to 4.5/5.0?

I know how many teeth.

I need to know what brand.

The XRay spurs don't go that low (I think...)

Notice the two extra screw holes for the top deck just in front of the center shaft.

That was actually Alex's 2nd car. His other car does have the prototype servo mount on it. The only reason it wasnt on this car was that he didnt have a 2nd mount.

I have one on my car now and it does work. You can see the chassis flex under the servo with it installed. I wont know if I can tell a difference on the track till I run here at home though as I installed it over there and I couldnt really tell much of anything on that carpet. Although I did go faster after installing it (But changed a lot of other stuff too so dont know what caused the increase in speed).

In mine, I use an Xray 96 tooth to get to a 3.8 FDR for 17.5 blinky. Xray makes a 96 and a 92.

I want to pick up some aftermarket CVD's for the front of the car to use during mod practice so I don't bend my ECS. Who makes some that are durable? I see CSO makes some in tempered steel and spring steel. Any thoughts on which would stand up to more abuse?

There isn't anything that would not bend when hit with the right amount of force and on the right angle.

Some guys over at ETS were running the new Spec R ones and they really liked them. They could possibly bend as Fred said but they do not fall apart or break like previous versions.

I'm just looking for something that might be slightly less prone to bending, and not $50 per bend. I'm not very good at mod.

Also, how you liking that Exotek conversion? I miss me some toe blocks.

LOL about the blocks, me really likey the conversion But like EA said the V2 Spec-R's are made well and I like the idea of the clips instead of set screws.

I meant to mention to you a while back when we first saw the Tamiya DCJ's at TITC and forgot but you realize they are made by Spec-R.
