If I remember right, that mod was used on the Losi JRX. The problem with the bearings was that you had to replace the bearings frequently because the bearing could not take the stress from the torque.

I highly recommend a set of Nikita, and normal blades, longest lasting setup I've found. The steel outdrives are too small in diameter and shred blades pretty quickly.

Guys, the part number I posted yesterday for the steel outdrives are the ones that I have been running since January without any blade issues.

Don't remember the JRX but the guy's been running 3 times a week since he got the kit (one of the first guys to order one) and hasn't had to replace any of the drivetrain stuff yet!

NOT bashing by all means. Practice tires to use outside on my basketball court. I here what your saying though.
