I'm curious as to how is it that yall are managing to have so many issues with bladders? Initially I went through a few until I realized that I was over tightening the cap. For those of you with bladders that swell, what manufacturer's oil are you using?

I am being very honest that most all of us have bladder failures quite often at our track! I keep 2 packs on hand and I run Losi oil.

Ouch, I admit the bladders are softer than other manufacturer's, I guess I'm just lucky not to have so many issues with them.

How often are you changing bladders?

I'm quite sure it's been close to a year. Every time I change oil or freshen it up I clear off each bladder and inspect it for tears along the lip and swelling. When I tighten down the cap it's only to the point to where I start to feel a some resistance because initially when I did have issues with them ripping it was due to tighening the cap down too much.

You only need two (for the rear outdrives). The spool up front doesn't use them.

Muchmore 400CST previously. They're built with XRay 400CST this time, so we'll see how that goes. But that's not necessarily a great compromise if it's the issue, XRay oil is pricey too. I'm happy to pay for luxury, but not when it comes to shock oils and bladders.

For me, the biggest issue has been that they swell and then won't fit flush in the shock body. I tore some early, but I think that was over-tightening like Fred mentioned.

Only 2 come with the kit, you need to order one more pack.

Btw, anyone see the exotek caps? Look nice, but too bad they cost almost the same as a set of trf shocks.
