Team GB made A Quali mini and are Cue Ball is running 5th, and has the 4th fastest laptime as of 2nd Quali.

Hall is winding down now for the evening. It's been a long day as everyone focuses on tires and diffs as they settle into the rhythm of the track.

Notable news is 3 formula drivers have cracked into the 12 sec bracket and are running mulitple laps 12.6 - 12.9 . The GT touring boys are close but still not into the 12s.

The other notable news was one Hungarian car/drivers time were disqualified from Q1 as he was found to be 3grams under weight You're a BAD BOY, Dani 3 grams, sheesh, I would have thought there would be 5gram +/- sort of allowance for diff scales but not. Nobody was upset just a bit sort roll eyes and carry on. Note this means only his time from that quali was affected. He carries on unaffected for the rest of time, ie. he has 5 qualis in total at the end rather than 6. No big deal as your 2 best results are used to calc final race positions. I'm told there have been a couple others who had the same problem but I don't have the details. 2 quali's occurred this afternoon. The remaining are tomo.

The event has been good so far. It's got a feeling so far of being organized rather than ball out out fun, but hopefully tomorrow people will make more noise and relax a bit.

Welcome back! It's Saturday morning and, for the first time since arriving, raining outside. So Tamiya Switzerland are very happy they decided to make this an indoor Championship

Everyone was here by 8.15 after the drivers briefing it's immediately down to business, Q3 has now started.

I was hoping to meet the girl with the smooth voice today who makes the race position and start countdown announcements, but she turns out to be a computer !

The Russians are friendly. I should stop reading so many spy novels!

Big news of the moment is guys from Tamiya Japan have turned up!




It's not a surprise ofcourse for the organisers, but the for the dyed in the wool Tamiya fans it's exciting to know people from Tamiya HQ are here.

I will have more on track and grid photos shortly.

Quali is well underway, up to number 5 now. F1 and mini drivers are testing the marshalls and giving us some moments of pain.

Best bodyshell comp just happened, shortlisted cars on on the green.
Due to the rain we have a crowd of about 60 people watching and there are somme crowd OOOH and AAHHHs as cars bang the boards and get stuck or roll. Its cool to hear the support for the drivers. Teams are rather silent, some clapping. Team Hungary is are the only ones making a din, with a loud wooden clacker and 2 airhorns. More noise please!!

Quali is almost over now. I will post up the results.

It's cool having an audience here, there are plenty of collective gasps when cars tangle and big OOOHHHHs! when they occasionally fly right out of the track and BANG! into the stadium grandstand wall.
