There are various types of 2S battery with 1S dimension being sold in Japan.

The common dimensions are =
93mm x 46.5mm x 18.5mm

The range of average capacities are between 2800 Mah - 3500 Mah

Hi,

I have couple of questions, as follows:

1. How to measure the rebound stroke for RM-01X as seen in its Setting Sheet ?

2. As regards Upright Spacer, I am under the assumption that this is the spacer we used inside (before) the front wheel ?
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you

As I read it, rebound stroke is more or less how far down the suspension can move.

Upright spacer is (again as i read it) the spacers put under the ball end to change the angle of the steering arm at the steering block

Thanks for your explanation ShadowAU

Just measure my rebound stroke is around 2.0 mm

And I didn't insert any spacer under the ball end in my front arm.

Btw

I just created an editable setup sheet for Tamiya RM-01X

It is in PDF format, and the size is 1.80 Mb.

This can be downloaded from =

http://pdfcast.org/pdf/editable-tami...-setting-sheet

Hope this can be useful

Background:
Tech Racing from Japan produces conversion kit for Tamiya RM-01, namely RMGT01 Type R

It's pricing is quite cheap for a conversion kit

Source Link =
http://www.rakuseimodel.co.jp/online...p?jisya=166493

This conversion kit consists of lower deck and lower brace set, including aluminum outer wheel hub for rear wheels, which allows us to apply the wheels and rubber tires of Yokomo GT-500

Front Wheel Setup
1 pair of Tamiya Front Axle 1/8 x 5/16 - #54366
1 pair of Yokomo GT-29 Wheels
1 pair of Yokomo GT-36M Slick Rubber Tires
2 pairs of Flanged Bearing 1/8 x 5/16 x 9/64 for front wheels

Rear Wheel Setup
1 pair of Tech Racing aluminum outer wheel hub
1 pair of Yokomo GT-30 Wheels
1 pair of Yokomo GT-36S Slick Rubber Tires

Note that both Front and Rear wheels require 3mm lock nuts

The diameter for Yokomo GT-36 slick rubber tires = 57 mm

The minimum ground clearance = 5mm (for both Front and Rear)

Front Ground Clearance
5mm (aftermarket) spacers are inserted under the front arms
The standard front arms’ screws are 4x20mm (BB1 @front side) and 4x15mm (BB2 @rear side)
For using the 5mm spacers, I have to replace it with 4x25mm countersunk screw for front side, and use BB1 for the rear side

Rear Ground Clearance
2mm offset rear shaft holder
The standard screw for Tamiya’s outer wheel hub is 2.6x6mm (BB5).
The thickness of Tech Racing’s outer wheel hub at the left side is 4mm, which is thicker than Tamiya’s standard (2mm). Therefore, I replace the standard screw with 2.6x8mm screw

Clawhammers, I love your outlaw :-)

And a first for me to see the RM01 with rubber tires. Did you purchase the conversion kit directly from Japan (using the link you've posted)?

A job well done :-)

I purchased my RC parts from Rakusei through Japanese buying agent.

They are reliable and very prompt in providing services to overseas customer(s).

Hope this helps

I am correct in assuming that 2S lipo is no go in the RM01, yes?

My shorty lipo is approx. 96mm x 47mm x 25mm. And yes I did read the previous post about the issue. I just hope somebody has way around this annoying issue :-)

Thanks!

There are many 2s lipo available in 1s size
1/12 in general are not built for 2s sized packs

Thanks, RedBullFIXX :-)

I had a look in the manual thinking raising the antenna and pitch damper post (K9?) in order for my shorty to fit below the pitch damper. Will this bold move effect the pitch damping and the handling of the car overall?

Thanks!
