that link didn't work for me, but stormer has a few 72t by RW in stock.
even PRS site is out of stock on anything less than 77.

stock 1/12 on a big layout (snowbirds?) has pretty astronomical rollouts, maybe its a temporary glitch

Spent the evening watching basketball. Thanks to those rat SOBs at Comcast, they usual black out Golden State, but tonight they were on TNT. Cool! Except the Bulls were blowing them out my almost 20 midway in the first. After I cleaned my workbench, I decided to build my TCS final prize RM1. Got about 1/3 of the way through before GS came back to win 102-89.

Maybe I should build more often during otherwise boring games.

Here are some photos of my TOYOTA TOM'S 84C. I added some accessories to make it look scale. Time to do a Mazda 787B for the next project.

Thanks! I wish Tamiya will also re-release the Leyton House version.

Which Tamiya RM01 body has the most downforce or are they all about the same?

Can someone verify that the carbon fiber chassis will mount the associated style front end. I read earlier in the thread that the RM01x chassis and the rm01 hop up chassis have different holes.

If it's not answered I might be able to look later.

I have a NIB RM01x and a built up 12R5.2. Later tonight I can see if the whole are similar if no one else chimes up.

The Hop Up chassis has the holes drilled ready for the R5 front end, but they're not countersunk. Only took a few minutes to correct. I had to replace my original chassis as a body post was ripped out complete with screw when I half spun on the tape joining the carpet and then had 4 cars go flat out in to the front of it!

Tried to mount my rr 73t spur up last nite. No go, not sure if the 01X has bigger diff rings or not, I would think no. Gonna have to get creative unless someone has any ideas or different rings to use. On the package it said super thin, not sure if this is an issue or not. 12th scale noob here.

My experience thus far is that RR spurs don't work well on the RM... I had a 66T on mine and it did fit but it seemed to be binding and not very smooth.. the Kawada 66T I have on it now is super smooth and a good tough spur

The RM uses the same diff rings as the 417 but I am not aware of any other options.

Since I am here - can anyone post some measurements or a scale drawing of the mounting holes for the Associated front end?

I'd love to try it but I don't really want to spend $55 for the option chassis and then another $50+ for the R5.2 front just to give it a try

It was the last round of the UK Nationals this weekend and I was able to mix it quite easily with the more 'thoroughbred' cars.

13.5 stock on Saturday qualified 6th in the A, and was in the top 8 of qualifying after each round to show the cars consistency. It was a technical track that quite a few cars and drivers struggled on, but the Tamiya was so well behaved I could just drive 4 clean qualifying runs with no issues. I was qualifying from a lower heat too so had to set my own pace and contend with lapping cars. In the final, drove it up to third then made my first mistake of the day in clipping a barrier which dropped the corner of the bodyshell. I was then a sitting duck at the end of the straight as the shell flicked the car up and wide by a couple of feet as I turned in, so finished 8th. But showed the true pace of the car.

Sunday in 10.5, I struggled with my other car for 2 rounds and was nowhere. Threw the motor in the Tamiya and jumped in to the B even whilst learning how it went with the extra power, and consolidated my position with a quicker run in the final round for 9th in the B. Again from a lower heat. I was lapping most of my heat at least twice. Drove up to 3rd in the final again, then was rammed off the track from behind and rejoined half a lap down in last place. Made it back to 5th for the same car to put me in the wall again so back to last. Eventually picked up 9th due to someone dropping out, but pleased with the cars performance.

For the record, its a standard RM01X with a Xenon R5 front end and associated side springs. Oh, and a 64dp spur. I tried different things at other rounds but its at its best as kit, apart from the front end.
