What is the difference between the Apex and the ION3 motors that Fantom sells?

i think the Apex motors have more physical timing than the ion 3 series. If you are running non boost blinky mode, Apex might be a better choice. I am running my ion3 13.5 in open speedo class and it is very fast.

The Ion 3 is based off the Trinity D3 motor while the Apex is based off the new RevTech motors.
