We had an incident where a new guy to our track decided that he was not going to marshall after being asked to do so. His response was "there are enough guys out there, I have to fix my car". The race director, not wanting to make a scene, said OK, don't marshall. Well, when we were all dropping our cars off at the tech table, we were told not to touch his car no matter what. His race came up and as we knew he would, he flipped it over 3/4 into the race (it was a qualifier, with a throw-out) it sat upside-down outside of the track. Needless to say, he got the point. He still comes to race, but has yet to miss his turn as marshall to this day.
