This car looks great. I love the shock tower design! I'm surprised that no one has tried this before.

With that said I owned a Phi 09 and the cost of ownership was HIGH and the parts availability was scarce at times. I want to be a Corally fan but I hope they improve the parts support. Looking forward to seeing more pics!

I like the concept too
Own an phi'09 but didn't run it because of no time. The parts here in Holland were no problem. So I don't think that it shall be a problem to get parts here..

Digging it except for the red. If they do it in their gray-blue it will be perfect. Had to go with a TC6 because the wait was so long but this might get me back.

My posting on the Phi '09 thread about the HMX...

Quote:
I think they have to put a lot more work on it ...

The shock tower idea is cool, but alloy isn't the perfect choice for that because it can bend easily. Other problem, maximum angle is something around 70mm. Tamiya, Yokomo, Serpent etc. have something about 50mm.

the topdeck is short and small and the car have a lot of flex, i think it's to much flex. A lot of parts are again from Phi 09, as example the bearing holders are the old ones - only vertical mounted :>

but cool is the new stabilizer system, it is working with ball bearings.

But isn't it a good thing to have flex in the car for the stock class?

a good starting point of flex is that was most of the manufacteurs currently have, thats why you see everytime the same cars in the a-finals in modified and stock.

This cars have a better balance, too. the screw layout is 90% symetric, chassis and topdeck.

You can see this on Fischer's result, with his Serpent he can reach better results. On first training session with his new serpent, he was 0,3sec/lap faster as with his old corally.

I've seen already the new HMX Prototype on track, but it wasn't really fast
