Our track is only 10x15m, lap times of about low 8s. So, battery and timing is less critical for us, but I know on bigger tracks it matters much more.

you say you have a TP 40c lipo and looking for better lipos.

I doubt you will find any better than what you have currently, and that includes TP's 65c and orions 90c.

I dont care what companies and brands state if Battery factories with an endless budget ,Government owned and Military specified cannot produce above 60C then there is no way in hell that these smaller people who claim these outragous ratings can ever produce even a 60C cell continous no chance .

Especially produce a 70-90 c as they claim without a massive voltage drop thus limiting run time .

Ask for a test sheet your entitled to one if you going to buy there batteries .

www.TeamCRC.com

Calandra/PowerPush have the best packs going. Processed by PowerPush, and undeniably as fast or faster than all others.........

As mentioned "C" rating is a marketing ploy. Weigh and capacity is what to chase. Getting your car to the right weight and side-to-side balance for it's handling with the highest capacity for minimum voltage drop.

Default Huh

So how do we actually know amongst battery companies which Lipo's are the best?

I haven't seen capacity stickers on any lipo's yet nor voltage?

I have been recommended muff dude but not sure

Any perspectives

In 12th they seem to run around 70 for 1S 5000

Some time ago it used to be battery war kinda

Is that history now

Also beware that while there may be a dozen plus brands out there, in reality there is not all that many companies making the actual LiPo cells inside them, there is a half dozen brands all using the same cells now...

Your TP's are 40c correct? There have been SEVERAL generations of upgrades since then. I'm not saying that the Trinity packs are bad, I'm just saying that the newer generation of all the cells are better, especially if running blinky.....

they are almost the same motors, besides the track didnt have them then so ill just buy another motor if i need to no biggy, but i feel now with the testing of a stronger battery i feel the car is definately fast enough to turn great laptimes.

The dyno, and track testing shows the RevTech to have a pretty significant advantage over the D3.

Newer 40c is still not like the TP65c, believe me. I run 12th scale mostly, and you can feel the slightest difference in batteries because the car is so light. I have IP 50c, TP40c, TP65c and CRC 6300 50c, and the CRC pack is BY FAR the fastest. I have also run the CRC 5600 65c packs, and they are faster still. It's not just fast lap, but how long the pack will "carry" the voltage over a full race. The clock tells no lies.......
